The number of times I’ve found myself staring at a blank canvas is unmeasurable. But if I had a dollar for every time it happened, I’d be very rich.

Every artist and creative goes through this initial moment. The time before it starts. Looking at the shadow on the canvas, awaiting the daunting task of creation.

A ghost of what could become.

& one day, I just captured it. Nothing had come to mind and the shadow kept getting darker. There were a thousand things I wanted to create, but all I had was the overwhelming shadow. A ghost staring back at me.

This work embodies everything that I live with in my head, when it comes to my art practice. It's the work that overcame me, and I responded by capturing it.
